AquaSan v CoronavirusList Item 1
Independent lab findings of the performance of AquaSan and 3ppm of chlorine in a simulated pool environment against coronavirus (screened using EN14476 methodology)

Copper and silver in swimming poolsList Item 2
Copper and silver have been used for many years in water treatment because of their recognised antimicrobial properties. In swimming pools, copper/silver ionisation is used to control bacteria and improve water quality while reducing or removing reliance on chlorine. . Our case studies and lab tests show that AquaSan has the achieves the same levels of commercial pool and spa sanitisation as the commonly used range of 1–3 ppm.
Ultimately, the most reliable way to judge any pool sanitising system is through regular, independent bacteriological laboratory testing. Rather than relying only on assumptions made in standardised test methods, real pool water should be tested over time to confirm that it remains safe and properly controlled. In our case, we have years of independent laboratory certificates showing consistent bacteriological results, providing practical evidence that AquaSan is safe and effective in real operating conditions.

OECD 170
OECD 170 is a recognised testing standard that has been used to assess the effectiveness of new pool treatment technologies. In practice, many biocidal products have been judged against the performance of 1 ppm chlorine, which has often been treated as the benchmark for expected efficacy. However, our testing showed that 1 ppm chlorine does not achieve the level of performance that OECD 170 assumes it does. As the industry is now beginning to recognise, this means some new pool treatments have been criticised for not meeting a standard that may never have been realistically achievable in the first place.
